Auto Repair in Glenelg, MD

Located just north of Dayton, MD in Howard County is the unincorporated community of Glenelg. It’s a rural community in every sense of the word, though its residents are among the top earners in the country. Around 1,100 people live in Glenelg.

The area of Glenelg originates in the 1700s with a gift of land from John Dorsey to his daughter, Sarah Dorsey Howard, and her husband Henry Howard. Later in the 1800s, a subsequent owner of the house, General Joseph Tyson and his wife, named the home Glenelg after an estate in their home country of Scotland. It was named Glenelg whimsically, because it is spelled the same forward and backward.

To date, many other manors and estates have been constructed in this affluent community. Residents commute to Washington, DC to the south, or Baltimore to the east. The majority of recreation and services are found in nearby major cities.
